    Who is conducting this study?

    This study is being conducted by Prof Stanley Ulijaszek (Principal Investigator) and Dr Karin Eli (Research Fellow), at the University of Oxford’s Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology; Prof Fredrik Karpe (Co-Investigator) and Dr Katherine Pinnick (Research Fellow), at the Oxford BioBank and Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism; and Dr Osea Giuntella (Visiting Assistant Professor), at the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Economics.

    What is the purpose of this study?

    The study aims to assess links between socioeconomic, social mobility, and wellbeing attributes. The data collected through this study will also be used to develop a brief survey instrument to assess these links on a large scale, both nationally and internationally. We anticipate that the survey instrument developed through this study will be used in diverse research studies across the social and the biomedical sciences, as well as in public health, economic, and education policy applications.
